Bondie, I noticed something simular.
As I kid , my dad being an elder , I was attached to his satus. good
When I was married, I was attached to my husbands status. weak
But, as a single female. invisable
were you a sought after associate?.
were you often invisible?.
did other witnesses view you as "exemplary"?.

i hear of these stories of elders swapping wives, i remember when i was young hearing of three elders in florida doing this and getting dfed.
my question is this how is it possible to bring this up in conversation?
it seems impossible, how can there be multi elders that know each other willing and the wives?
I know for a fact that this happens. But it was just RF couples.
The Elders knew and just let it slide. Hmmm?
a few of you may remember that my wife had a kidney transplant early last year.
since then the kidney has been incredible, giving her a new lease on life.
it's really been good to see the light in her eyes that i had missed for quite a long time.. the counterpoint to this good news is the problems we have had with our son coltin.
Sending my Well Wishes to your Coltin.
I hope everyone has a restful night, now that you are home.

There are two for me.
'A man stays alive as long as he is remembered' The Buddha ...(for my brother)
A recent one I read here. "You should not have to lie about 'The Truth' "

well, i laughed until my stomach hurt -- but it's a little raunchy so be warned.
That was way funny.
Now, who can I send it to?
Must share the laughter. It's "Healing"...

Kurtbethel... Flooding, thats were I learned what it was. It seemed like the curbs were 2 feet high.
We had the cabin during the 60's until Armagedon ( i mean 1975) If I remember correctly, your area would be about 10 minutes before the town of Guerenville. My brother and I would say 'are we there yet?!' at about that time.
I havent been there in years , but I have very good memories . Like when my brother was playing with our fish that were chained on a spike in the river. He couldnt resist playing with it and it all came loose and the fish went swimming down the river . My dad chased my brother instead of the fish. I'm laughing now just thinking of it. Oh and as we got more mischievous, getting kicked out of the gocart track for playing bumper cars.
I dont remember the mines. But it must have been fun living there. I know I never wanted to go home.

We had a cabin in Gurenville...(i always called it Gureniville )
Spent many mornings fishing on the Russian River, mostly catching Carp. Afternoons swimming.
Do you remember the go-cart tract? The old movie house ? The Indian Jewelry Shop. The owner was a family friend.
Small world. I would love to see your photos.
